Tips for Myrtle Beach, SC?

Rick and I are heading to Myrtle Beach Friday-Wednesday, for the McKibbin family vacay. Neither of us have ever been, so we need some travel tips from you. Things to do, eat, drink, places to go, not to go, you get the point. There are 22 of us in one house, so we may need some family friendly ideas, as well as adult only escapes. HBG comes to BHM

Some of my friends from Hattiesburg came to Birmingham this weekend, and what a fun weekend it was. Friday a group of us went to dinner @ Greyhouse Grill, and it was yummy! Only the strong survive, ok not really, but only McDonald and I could make it out to meet the other guys that were in town. Here are McDonald, me, and Jon.

Saturday night, Fancy, Natalie, Katherine, and I went to SURIN, my FAV, for dinner and drinks.

Then it was off to meet the crew downtown (Rick came to meet us too)....

It was such a fabulous weekend, and I am always so sad when my friends leave town. I miss you guys already!! COME BACK!!!

Welcome ANNA COOPER

Another baby is born! My dear friend from college Taylor, her husband Drew, (and big sister Caroline) welcomed their second baby girl yesterday, Anna Cooper. She weighed 5lbs 15oz, and mother and baby are doing great. Congrats! I can't wait to meet her!!!

P.S. Taylor and Bonnie had their first little girls 2 months apart, and now their second girls are 4 days apart, and they live just around the corner from each other. I LOVE IT!!!

Friends, family, & 4th of July, Hot Springs style

Rick, Lilly, and I made the long drive to Hot Springs, AR to my parents lake house to celebrate the holiday weekend, and what a great weekend. Our dear family friends the Shamburgers, and Debra Jean also made the trip from Mississip. It was so nice to spend the weekend with such important people in my life, and much needed. We laughed all weekend, there was NEVER a dull moment. Everyone just LOVES Rick, and said he just fits right in with our crew. Don't think I am allowed to come back without him.

Bacon doesn't go with Whisky

Last Tuesday we enjoyed the patio @ Jackson's with some friends and fabulous weather.

Kate & I were the only ladies.The guys were THRILLED to take a picture.

Then Kate & Stephen talked us into going to the new place in Mt. Brook Village, DRAM, for this disgusting drink. Just thinking about it makes me feel sick, but the rest of the crew loved it. With that said, it is whisky on the rocks, with a piece of cooked bacon and an orange slice in it. WOW, count me out. Other than that, fun summer night.

Baby STELLA loves AMERICA

My dear friends Bonnie and Blaine (and big sister Reese) welcomed their 2nd baby girl Stella Langston, born on the 4th of July. She was 7lbs 4oz, and mom and baby are doing great. CONGRATS TYRONES!!! I can't wait to meet Miss Stella! Love you guys.
