This weekend we picked out barstools. I wanted backs, Rick wanted no back. So we brought one of each home, and after staring at both, we decided on 2 with backs and one without. I LOVE THEM!!! Thoughts?
This is your mom. And by "you'll never have three friends sitting there," I don't infer that you only have two friends. I'm just saying that if there's three people sitting there, there isn't much personal space. Take a look at the picture again. Now imagine you're sitting there in the middle seat having a drink. On either side of you are two of your closest friends. Not "close" as in "we grew up together," but "close" as in "I can smell what you had for lunch." Now, imagine you have to excuse yourself to go to the ladies room. How do you do it? You can't turn to the side because there's no room. You can't scoot the stool back because it gets hung on the rug and falls over backwards. It's a lose-lose situation. Now, as long as we're getting all hypothetical; imagine you're sitting three deep at the bar having breakfast after a late night out. You're sitting in the middle again. To your left sits your good friend who unfortunately lost his right arm in a tragic arm wrestling incident. How does he eat? There's no way. I could wax intellectual on this case all afternoon, but I think I've made my point.
Well, there you have it. "Betty" has spoken. And I feel very sorry for your friend sans right arm...he must have been arm wrestling Joe's girlfriend Kathy.
I was born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and LOVE it there! I went to Ole Miss for 2 years, and finished at Southern Miss. After Hurricane Katrina I moved to Birmingham, AL. I have a precious shihtzu Lilly, and married the man of my dreams, Rick, August 21, 2010. I have the best frinds anyone could ask for, all over the country, and I keep in touch with them all. I have 2 brothers that crack me up everytime I talk to them. My parents live in Little Rock, and are the most wonderful parents ever! Last but not least, I am a DIE HARD NEW ORLEANS SAINTS FAN!!!! WHO DAT!!! Life is good.

Those looks awesome! so glad he came over to the side with backs!
Looks great- Now that the kitchen is complete whats the next project?
nice variety. next time I come down, we will have to have dinner at the bar, and we make rick sit in the middle.
Rick is right. The backless stools are better. And there is only room for two. You'll never have three people sitting there.
Uh, who are you anonymous? Rick decided on 3, I was good with 2 as long as they had backs.
Uh, I think the only way you'll "NEVER have three people sitting there" is if you only have 2 friends.
