I like it -- it's a neutral w/ a blue tint. I think it looks good with the color of tile and I love the beadboard/wainscoting(sp). It'll look nice with prints/photos/mirrors on it, too... you don't have to worry about it contrasting too much.
I agree with LG.....I know it is making you carzy but you asked :) If you are hung up on grey....try a really pale grey with a little blue undertone?? Then use accessories to bring it all together :)
Would Rick go for adobe dustby nenjamin moore(its fab), I think it would work with the warm tone tiles and since there is beadboard on the bottom it wouldnt feel overwhelming :)
i think you should stay away from beiges, or tans...i would pick up another color that you see in tile and try to find a paint color that matches , it needs to be something that contrasts with the tiles bc if it is too close it will look like a tan box, no reds or oranges...i like the idea of the grey, maybe just more blue than the gray! you want something that will not take away from the tile but make it stand out which is way i would go for something a totally opposite color!
I was born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and LOVE it there! I went to Ole Miss for 2 years, and finished at Southern Miss. After Hurricane Katrina I moved to Birmingham, AL. I have a precious shihtzu Lilly, and married the man of my dreams, Rick, August 21, 2010. I have the best frinds anyone could ask for, all over the country, and I keep in touch with them all. I have 2 brothers that crack me up everytime I talk to them. My parents live in Little Rock, and are the most wonderful parents ever! Last but not least, I am a DIE HARD NEW ORLEANS SAINTS FAN!!!! WHO DAT!!! Life is good.
